Dr. Vanessa Aseye Atikpui has been named a Trailblazer of Change 2025 by TTYBrand Africa Magazine, in recognition of her groundbreaking work in advancing healthcare access for women and girls across Africa.
The honor, announced in the March–April 2025 Issue (Issue 6), celebrates African women who are leading innovative solutions while driving meaningful social change. The recognition aligns with International Women’s Day, spotlighting women whose impact extends beyond professional success into community transformation.
As the founder of FirstAid on Wheels, Dr. Vanessa has pioneered mobile and community-centered healthcare initiatives addressing critical gaps in women’s health. Her work spans reproductive health, mental wellness, and health education, areas often underserved in vulnerable communities. Through awareness campaigns and tailored interventions, she is breaking down systemic barriers that limit access to quality healthcare.

Dr. Vanessa’s approach blends innovation with empathy, ensuring that education and prevention are as central as treatment. By using her platforms to inform, educate, and advocate, she continues to empower women with the knowledge and resources needed to live healthier, more dignified lives.
“Advocating for social change is not easy, but seeing the impact however little is always worth it. I would like my legacy to be one of impact, empathy, and authenticity,” she stated.
TTYBrand Africa’s recognition of Dr. Vanessa Atikpui highlights the vital role of women-led healthcare innovation in shaping Africa’s future. Her work reflects purposeful leadership that can create lasting change within communities and across generations.
