Harper Beckham Surprises David Beckham With New Rose at Chelsea Flower

The 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London welcomed one of its most emotional and talked-about floral debuts after a new English rose inspired by David Beckham officially bloomed into the spotlight.

Named the “Sir David Beckham Rose,” the flower arrived with more than beauty and fragrance. It carried a deeply personal story rooted in family, legacy, and the growing cultural influence of gardening among modern celebrities.

The rose emerged after Harper Beckham searched for a meaningful way to celebrate her father’s 50th birthday.

Instead of choosing a luxury gift, Harper turned to one of David Beckham’s favorite passions gardening.

She connected with renowned rose breeder David J.C. Austin and selected a luminous pinkish-white rose accented with soft yellow tones.

Previously known only by its breeding number Ausa34b16, the flower now carries the official name Sir David Beckham Rose.
